History

Land of Learning opened in January of 1998 in Wilson, NC with only seven classrooms. Tom and Christy Fyle decided to open this childcare facility when they were unable to find quality care for their own children elsewhere. We offer a loving and nurturing environment where children can thrive through the natural stages of development at the their own pace.

Meet the Owners

Christy Fyle has a degree from ECU in Exceptional Children with a concentration in Child Development. She taught in the public school system for 6 years. This is where she first became of aware of the high demand for children to receive an exceptional preschool education. Tom Fyle was the purchasing manager for a pharmaceutical company when he realized he had all the business background he needed to help his wife pursue her dream. Together, they have created what is considered to be one of the best child care centers in Wilson.

Just a year after opening their doors, they decided to expand the center to include ten new state of the art classrooms. They were eager to help even more children receive a high quality preschool experience.

Tom and Christy are happily married and are the proud parents of three young adults. The Fyle's love this community and have continuously served us over the years through various organizations, county boards and charities. They are members of Fike High School, Elm City Middle, and Wilson Early College Academy's PTO. Tom and Christy also encourage their own children to volunteer and give back to the communities that have given them so much.

We look forward to meeting you and your family!
